Djordje Djordjevic is Back for the 2022/2023 Season!

Djordje Djordjevic Re-Signs with the Americans 

Memphis, Tennessee ( August 9th, 2022) - Djordje Djordjevic,  National Indoor Soccer League’s Most Valuable Player, Golden Boot, and Top Point Scorer, has re-signed with the Memphis Americans for the 2022/2023 season.  Djorde took the NISL by storm this past season, tallying 26 goals (1st in NISL), 15 assists (2nd in NISL), and averaging 2.3 Points Per Game.

Djordjevic, a Christian Brothers University product, was a menace last season, scoring 3 game-winning goals, registering 3 hat tricks, and captaining the Americans to a 13-6 record in the regular season. .  

“Getting Djordje re-signed was an absolute priority for us this offseason. His production on the field last year was a major factor in our team’s success, along with his intensity and work ethic in training, and his attitude off the field.  This is a big step for us toward our goal of winning the NISL Championship this season,” Head Coach Corey Adamson said of Djordjevic.

The National Indoor Soccer League was founded in January 2021 by a group of seasoned sports team/league owners with over 50 years of ownership experience. The league features both a Men's & Women's Division, competing in double header game days over a 20-game regular season that takes place between the months of December and April. Current teams include Central FL Crusaders (Orlando), Columbus Rapids (Georgia), Fayetteville Fury, Memphis Americans, Rome Gladiators (Georgia), and Tampa Bay Strikers.
