Memphis Americans to face Fayetteville Fury for second match of doubleheader

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. – The Memphis Americans are set to face the men’s and women’s Fayetteville Fury teams today at Landers Center in Southaven. The matches will round out a weekend of action between the two teams. Kickoff for the first match is at 3:30 p.m. CST.

Yesterday’s matches between the Memphis Americans and Fayetteville Fury resulted in a 3-2 win for the men’s team thanks to goals from Paulo Ndenzako, Bernardo Ferreira and Djordje Djordjevic. Goalkeeper Piotr Sliwa played a key role as well, increasing his save percentage to .813% on the season. During the women’s match, Bailey Tadlock scored all three goals for the team in the 3-2 victory. Stacie Murray-Owers assisted Tadlock on the final goal of the game. The wins improve the men’s record to 6-2 and the women’s to 6-1-1.

The Fayetteville Fury men’s team is led by coach Justin Terranova, while the women’s team has coach Bryan Madej at the helm. So far this season, the men have a record of 6-1 and the women come in at 1-5.

Season tickets start at $180 and are currently available on the team’s website, as well.
